Trosorna är lämpliga även för urininkontinens, men kan inte marknadsföras för detta utan CE-märkning för medicintekniska produkter. Projektets mål är att säkerställa att bolaget har den kompetens och de processer som krävs för en CE-märkning, samt att utveckla och förvalta produkter inom det medicintekniska området. En CE-märkning av Comfydence sortiment skulle bidra till att minska stigmatisering, begränsningarna av livskvalitet och psykisk hälsa som kommer av inkontinens. Kvinnor som lider av inkontinens får tillgång till ett återanvändbart, tryggt och bekvämt skydd. Det ger bolaget en stor konkurrensfördel gentemot andra aktörer, möjlighet att marknadsföra inom fler användningsområden, minska mängden avfall från inkontinensskydd & öka möjligheterna att sälja varorna via vård och nya kanaler utomlands. För att CE-märka sortimentet behöver bolaget stöd i riskhantering, ta fram teknisk dokumentation för produkterna och implementera ett kvalitetsledningssystem. RegSmart, som är en erfaren och kompetent partner inom certifiering av medicintekniska produkter, kommer att stötta Comfydence i att höja sin egen kompetens inom medicinteknik och att utveckla, införa och upprätthålla de rutiner och processer som krävs för medicintekniska varor.
